My room was great some light repairs to be done like toilet roll holder. My daughter's room with kids needed more work and number of spiders in bathroom and also found in the room

Not the best stay, ranked 3 star on Google but closer to a 1 star at best. Ripping customers off for food and drink prices, especially when aldi is a 5 minute walk away. But you pay £50 a night they have to make their money back somehow. Overall will not be returning.

The staff seem friendly enough. On arrival there was laundry outside on the ground rather than a basket so a bit odd. Room (25) is quite small but ok as I’m on my own on business. Very dated & in need of redecorating. The Shower is not very powerful. The 2nd morning there was no hot water whatsoever. Headboard was a bit loose with movement so I had to stuff a pillow behind it to stop it banging on the wall. The TV is pretty small. Some storage, an iron & hairdryer. No desk or proper chair and just a foot-stall. Great location for where I was working but I wouldn’t stay here again unless reviews are improved. Looks like some reworks are taking place so maybe some rooms are probably way better than the one I stayed in. Cheap to stay though.

Booked afternoon tea for my daughter's hen do for 22 guest thought lovely traditional afternoon tea would be special for my daughter but what I got was nothing more than canteen style buffet and flask of tea and coffee ,was so disgusted and disappointed with them. Also 2 of my guests are vegetarian and I was told theirs would be on a separate plate/stand but it was in with all the other food.asked for service to start at a certain time but was put out an hour before nothing covered and in a very hot room. Had to hunt down staff for tea and coffee to be topped up and hunt down more cups .all I wanted was a traditional lovely teapots cake and sandwiches stands afternoon tea which was shown on their website but what I got was canteen style buffet and tea . If you are thinking of booking this I would think very carefully to what you want and what you get would not recommend this to my worst enemy

Stayed here overnight as I was at an event at cotswolds airport . The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom the decor was a little dated but still OK. I had a great nights sleep very quiet. I had a meal in the restaurant that was OK not great but the restaurant is a nice area to be in with a little bar at the end. The staff were friendly . Next time I'm in the area would definitely stop again and the price was very good for the area

Easy to reach, just outside Wotton Bassett, Wiltshire, 5 min from M4. Clean bar, friendly staff. Food looked good but we didn't eat, or stay at the hotel, we were at a networking meeting.

Stayed here whilst visiting family. Currently undergoing some renovations, but we were not disturbed. Room was comfortable and spacious, albeit a little tired. We felt that our room was good value for money.

Under new management, needs new management! Had to move rooms due to very noisy couple making appalling, selfish noise right next to us. Put in another room at 1am but even in this room woken by shouting delivery at 6am and then again at 7am by bottle collection! Discovered they have refurbished rooms that are quiet but not given to us and ignored request for compensation. Very cowardly not to even respond to complaints. No.1 requirement for a hotel is decent sleep. No soundproofing inside or out, you can hear radio for breakfast room through floor, hear every time toilet or shower used, etc. No mirror in bathroom, no hooks for towels, shower head at waist height, lamp with no socket, socket with no lamp! Clock outside is lovely but 4 hours wrong. Stuff removed for refurbishment is dumped in overflow car park. Breakfast wasn't fresh first morning because not enough guests so 2nd morning it was good! All too hot and miss. Avoid this place if you want a decent night sleep. Also the Wowcher/Living Social deal was a con. It wasn't 50% off but just 20%. So dishonest. The only good thing was the friendly staff, shame about the cowardly manager. Manager, grow a pair and give compensation when your product is poor.

My friend had his wedding there, the place was filthy, windows were like looking through a fog , gents toilet awash with water (hope it was water) and the whole place needs decorating and certainly new management !😬

This hotel is tired and run on a shoe string, however the staff are very pleasant and obliging. For this reason I would like my review to be seen as constructive rather than critical. At the time of booking, our request for a twin-bedded room on the ground floor was confirmed. On arrival we were faced with a steep staircase to the first floor. A ground floor room with double bed was quickly found in the adjacent building. The room was clean and adequate with the exception of the inside of the door which was coated in dust. A party of 12 were already seated in the restaurant for dinner and our fears the kitchen would be under pressure were soon realised when we waited 50 mins for food. But never mind! we asked for the wine list and a bottle of wine and two glasses were rather uncerimoniously plonked on the table by the poor young man who was the only waiter. We waited a few minutes before we realised it was a ‘do it yourself’ job and my husband unscrewed the bottle and poured the wine. The large pots of lavender were very pleasing at the front of the hotel but the baskets outside the restaurant were left neglected and unplanted, full of dry earth and dead flowers. The exterior of the adjacent building in which we stayed is an utter disgrace, with window frames so old they would not hold a fresh coat of paint and covered in cobwebs which had hung there for ever. Thistles grew around the front door and outer area which had never seen a broom. There were plenty of cars in the car park as two offers were running at the same time, but more attention to detail is desperately needed and a major clean up of this area is urgently required. Shame. It could be a nice budget hotel.

Had a few nights at Marsh Farm Hotel. Absolutely gorgeous little place in a beautiful location. Upon arrival we got to our room and the door wouldn’t lock but the staff couldn’t be more helpful and moved us straight away to an upgrade in the honey moon suite. Beautiful room with great facilities. Very peaceful. Room clean and comfortable. Had a drink in the bar and drink in the garden it was beautiful and very calm. Parking on site and easy to find. Would defintley stay here again. Apparently got new management and can really see they are trying to upgrade the service.

DO NOT BOOK FOR LARGE EVENTS! My family booked this venue for my Mum’s wake following her funeral at North Wiltshire Crematorium. I am so disappointed with how the event was handled. I arrived at 10am to set up the flowers. The room appeared to have been set up for the event. Yet when we arrived at our allotted time of 3pm with 100 or so guests we started to have a big problem. No tea or coffee had been set up on our arrival. We waited 30 minutes for our guests to have any refreshments and then, these ran out very quickly and had to be restocked causing a delay - it was as though they were unaware that the venue had been booked for 90+, despite knowing for over 2 weeks. We had booked food from 3:30pm, but no food was brought out until after 4pm and this was only after one of our guests started to complain to staff. We had booked afternoon tea, but there was not enough cream or jam for the amount of scones and so there were so many left over at the end of the event because there was nothing to put on them. We asked for the leftover food to be boxed up but were told due to hygiene laws that these couldn’t be removed from the premises as they had been sat out for over 2 hours. They were scones! And we’d paid £25 per person for them. It’s disgusting that they went in the bin. There was no barman present until 3:40. And when he did arrive, none of the fridges had been filled so he then had to spend time retrieving wine and beers from the main building. He had no idea we had a bar tab so was trying to charge guests even though it had been pre arranged. I have also just been made aware that there were also issues with parking. Some of our guests were queueing to get into the car park for 20 minutes before giving up and leaving. It’s totally unacceptable. We were not made aware that guests may have had a problem parking- if we had been informed we could have encouraged car sharing or put on a bus. It was a day where I just wanted everything to run smoothly for my Mum and I’m so saddened that we had so many of these issues.

Just stayed here on a Travelzoo voucher for two nights. Afternoon tea on arrival was very good. This hotel is obviously in the process of being refurbished, both internally and externally. Consequently our bedroom was freshly decorated and the bed was comfy. The shower in the bathroom is not fit for purpose. Staff in the restaurant, the first morning were clueless, the second excellent. Food was lukewarm the first and hot the second. Great sausages and fried bread😘. Fantastic location and potentially a great budget hotel, once the refurbishment is completed.

Just terrible 😔 firstly stuffy room with a dirty fan covered in dust. Had to clean it. Sink was blocked. No hot water on the shower but hot water on the bath. The extractor fan in the bathroom was not working and was hanging off the ceiling, covered in dust. Toilet off the breakfast room was filthy in the morning with no toilet paper. £13 each for breakfast don't bother you would get better at greggs. Booked 2 nights only stayed 1 they did offer an upgrade but preferred to drive 2hr back home. Management need to check rooms before bookings rather than just winging it.... Completely clueless. All the best

The worst Hotel experience we have ever had , I would not recommend this hotel venue to anyone. Rooms are not cleaned properly, food is not served on time, and if you stay longer than a day the rooms are not made up even though you post the door sign ( Faulty Towers) springs to mind! Shocking experience Mark Jacksn

Oh dear oh dear oh dear … disappointing is an understatement… clearly the investment in this hotel is for the website to entice you in … the photos of the rooms look clean, fresh and inviting and the write up descriptions convincing, the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. The room, a superior double, had an overwhelming smell of stale musty dampness and with the addition of sewage water complete with toilet tissue running freely across the courtyard outside the entrance to the stable room accommodation made for a challenging start. Couldn’t open the windows to air the room due to the pong of sewage. Tried to find alternative accommodation in the locality but sadly nothing available, apparently already full of disillusioned guests from Marsh Farm no doubt. The building itself is dilapidated and dirty and definitely not DDA compliant. The rooms aren’t soundproofed as confirmed by fellow guests in the upper room whos conversation was audible until the early hours along with the creaking floor and flushing toilet. The over bath shower was useless … had to have octopus arms to turn it on without getting yourself and the bathroom floor soaked and then after several minutes of waiting for any hot water it just stopped working …certainly not fit for purpose. The divan bed frame was a relic from a bygone era and the mattress well used collapsed and totally uncomfortable. The pillows were as bad, a mixed selection of well used lumpy objects pretending to be plump pillows until touched when they literally collapsed. The final finishing touch being the laziness of the housekeeper putting the pillow cases on inside out … obviously too difficult to do it properly, as with everything else in the place. The restaurant menu is limited but we were assured locally sourced produce cooked to a high standard. Again the photos on the website lead you to believe this. No no no no and no. It’s mostly frozen cheap processed food , undercooked and overpriced and in no way reflective of the promised gastronomical experience on the website. And now to cleanliness… the cleaner/housekeeper if there is one needs to firstly go to spec savers and then have some training … the standards of cleaning are poor and that’s generous … the cobwebs and dead fossilised flies filled each and every available corner and window frame and sill in the room. The same in the hotel bar and restaurant area. Obviously no deep cleaning done for a while let alone surface cleaning. For a live treat the ants invading the bathroom for a play date with the silver fish overnight was a delight, obviously inside to avoid the sewage spill still freely flowing after 24 hours. All in all an extremely disappointing experience and if you have a stay booked here then please reconsider, its lack of anything expected has redefined a budget hotel. Maybe the local HSE should pay a visit to remind the owners of their obligations to their paying guests certainly regarding hygiene standards. To be privileged enough to own such a potentially lucrative business perhaps change your priorities and invest in your guests comfort not your misleading and utter rubbish over promising website.

My husband booked this stay for my birthday last weekend. We arrived late, but reception was brilliant upon our arrival. We were told we had a newly refurbished room. Upon initial, first looks the room, looked clean and fresh. There was no remote for the TV. The spoon for the hospitality tray was left in the sink dirty. The cupboard/ built-in wardrobe absolutely stank due to the ceiling having been damp and damaged and also had a wrapper left at the bottom on the floor. There was no headboard and no proper shower. We were moved the following day to another room, which again had no headboard and a few tatty areas but not too bad. The milk on the hospitality trays was split and leaking, so we were unable to have a drink we weren't overly fussed as only used the room to sleep. We tried breakfast on the first morning, which was priced at the top end for a breakfast, it wasn't overly great, bacon was overcooked to the point I struggled to cut it and coffee machine produced a mocha which was coffee and a load of powder. We didn't eat there again. The carpark at the end of the property was full of rubbish from the refurb, and the outer part of the end rooms are in need of tidying and painting. The location is nice, and from the outside, it looks like a really lovely hotel. They have tried to update, but it's just not been properly finished. Based on this, I don't think I would stay again as I feel that a premier inn offers more.

Got a wowcher deal . Was put in what I'd describe as a unfinished box room . No mirrors or shelves in the bathroom all tiles on the floor were so uneven you couldn't open or close the door . No hangers in closet No chair No head board just a bed base with a mattress two flat plows and no head board we had to leave our clothes on the floor . Terrible room and I get it its wowcher but are they not trying to entice people to stay there . Embarrassing scene at dinner where they brought me the bill and I said we had already paid for the meal including with our stay . The staff member made me get the wowcher code up at the table even though it was written down .

I did look for an email on your website but couldn’t find one. I wanted to email you before leaving a review on Google as we wasn’t very happy with our stay. I did send a message on Facebook but had no reply. We stayed two nights with a voucher that was given to us as a birthday present by my partners parents. Our room was very small and stuffy and just really too hot. It didn’t help that the under floor heating was constantly on. Our showers hot water didn’t work for our whole stay. This was checked by a member of staff and he agreed it wasn’t working but nothing was done about it. We had an afternoon tea included which felt very rushed and thrown together. I think this was due to a wedding. Had we have known there was a wedding this weekend we wouldn’t have chosen this weekend. I can appreciate wedding does take priority but we felt like we didn’t receive the customer service our parents had paid for. The sandwiches were stale and we don’t even drink tea but wasn’t asked what drink we wanted. Everything was just bought out and then back to the wedding. Again we wasn’t even asked if everything was ok. My partner ordered us a drink from the bar and we were told we couldn’t have gin glasses or slim line tonic as it was for the wedding. Again just terrible service. We had to ask for plate and mugs and cutlery at breakfast as they seemed to have ran out quickly.

Tired and in need of updating and repair. Disappointing experience, we had to move rooms as the first one allocated was in need of repair and the rooms are not priced to match their quality. Our 2nd room was recently updated but so many corners had been cut and it needed finishing off.
